Road Construction Reform

San Antonio is grappling with an overwhelming crisis of prolonged and mismanaged road construction. Major streets and highways remain in perpetual construction, causing disruptions to communities, hurting local businesses, and straining the city’s budget. Missed deadlines are far too common, and every delay comes with a cost—both financially and in the frustration of residents. It’s time for a focused effort to bring these projects to completion in a timely and cost-effective manner. San Antonio deserves efficient infrastructure that works for its people.

ACS Reform

Dangerous dogs have become a growing issue in San Antonio, with numerous reports of attacks resulting in serious injuries and even fatalities. Despite efforts by Animal Control Services (ACS), including the addition of staff and new facilities, the problem persists. If you’ve ever tried to report a dangerous animal, you know how frustrating the system can be—it’s nearly impossible to reach ACS directly, and response times are often unacceptable. After filing a report, residents are told it could take 1 to 5 business days for an officer to investigate. How many attacks could have been prevented if ACS acted more swiftly? We cannot afford to wait for more lives to be at risk. Addressing this issue is a top priority to ensure the safety of our community and prevent further harm.

Balance the Budget

The City of San Antonio currently faces a debt of approximately $20 billion, primarily driven by unfunded liabilities. It is essential that we reassess our financial priorities, eliminate inefficiencies, and take decisive action to restore fiscal discipline and ensure a balanced budget moving forward.

Good Sportsmanship

San Antonio is a vibrant city with endless opportunities for exploration and enjoyment. The Frost Bank Center draws me to the East Side, while Wolff Stadium takes me to the West Side. Recently, our City Council approved Project Marvel and the construction of a new Missions Baseball Stadium, relocating our sports teams downtown. However, this decision came at a high cost—demolishing an affordable apartment complex, displacing hundreds of residents, and committing the city to an unclear financial burden. If we are to bring the Spurs and Missions downtown, we must ensure these projects serve the people of San Antonio rather than harm them. It’s crucial to prioritize the well-being of our communities and promote growth and development that benefits everyone.

No Use of Eminent Domain

Eminent domain is a form of theft, and I will never support taking someone’s property or business against their will. I stand for protecting the rights of property owners and ensuring that no one is unfairly displaced for development or other projects.

Restraining the Powers of Government

On March 18, 2020, our Mayor declared a state of emergency in response to the COVID-19 pandemic. This decision led to the closure of businesses and entire industries, impacting countless lives and livelihoods. The following day, on March 19, 2020, the City Council voted to confirm and extend this emergency declaration, granting unprecedented authority to the government.

Our community deserves a City Council that makes decisions rooted in sound judgment and courage, not fear. We must ensure that our freedoms are never sacrificed for the illusion of temporary security. It’s time to elect leaders who will uphold liberty while safeguarding the well-being of our city.
